Kidapawan City Mayor Joseph Evangelista has urged all the parents to have their children ages nine months to 59 months old vaccinated against measles.
The mass vaccination against measles to be spearheaded by the City Health Office (CHO) is set on October 26 to November 25 this year.
“Ligtas at libre ang bakuna kontra tigdas kung kaya at dapat samantalahin ito ng mga magulang,” Evangelista said.
The CHO will set up vaccination stations in the barangay health units.
Quoting the Department of Health, the local government said the activity aims to prevent the increase of measles cases, which could affect 2.4 million children five years old and below in the country.
