Zamboanga City Mayor Beng Climaco led Monday the turnover of P2.99 million vehicles to two government security agencies in the city.
The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) both received one vehicle each.
The provision of the cars was part of the local government’s thrusts on security under its peace and order program.
“Equipped with strobe lights, sirens, and radios, the vehicles, amounting to P2.99 million are intended to support the initiatives and activities of the two agencies in safeguarding the city,” Climaco said.
The turnover of vehicles took place during the flag-raising ceremony.
