Mayor Climaco thanks national gov’t for bringing more Covid-19 vaccines in Zamboanga City

Zamboanga City Mayor Beng Climaco has expressed gratitude to the national government, including the Department of Health (DOH), for making the city among the priority areas for the Covid-19 vaccination program.

A total of 14,400 vials of Sinovac, composing the third batch of Covid-19 vaccines intended for the Zamboanga Peninsula region arrived in the city Wednesday afternoon, April 7.

“The vaccines are intended for the first and second dose of those under the A1 priority or health care workers,” she said.

Climaco joined DOH-9 Director Dr. Joshua Brillantes and Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) City Director Ginagene Vano-Uy and other DOH officials at the airport during the arrival of the vaccines and later at the DOH cold chain facility where the vaccines were stored before they are deployed to the provinces and cities.
