Zamboanga City Mayor Beng Climaco has urged President Rodrigo Duterte to order an investigation of the current management of Zamboanga City Electric Cooperatiove (Zamcelco) due to the worsening electricity problem in the city.

Included in the request was for Duterte to also direct the National Electrification Administration (NEA) to take over the management of Zamcelco.

According to the city government, Duterte had a brief visit to Zamboanga City where he discussed the security issues that happened in neighboring provinces recently.
