Mayor Climaco rolls out first batch of Euro-4 compliant tricycles

Zamboanga City Mayor Beng Climaco has led the unveiling of the 38 Euro-4 compliant Italian-made tricycles.

The local government said the 38 units compose the first batch of tricycles that comply with the City Government’s thrust on tricycle modernization.

The fund for the acquisition of the new tricycles came from the ZGEMPCO and the Land Bank of the Philippines.

The local government is targeting the full modernization of tricycles within five years.

The city government said Climaco, during the unveiling ceremony Tuesday, August 13, reiterated that there would be no phaseout of tricycles but modernization of units.
