Mayor Climaco recalls EO allowing kids outdoors

Zamboanga City Mayor Beng Climaco has recalled her executive order allowing minors outdoors effective Monday, July 26.

Climaco said the decision is in compliance with the decision of the National Inter-Agency Task Force (NIATF), which suspended the implementation of its resolution due to the confirmed cases of Covid-19 Delta variant in the country.

“The Local Task Force Covid-19 complies with the NIATF decision, thus, recalls the policy allowing children 5 to 17 years old outdoors (EO 667-2021) effective Monday, July 26, 2021,” she said.

The mayor said strict enforcement of quarantine restrictions and measures and minimum public health standards will continue, as Zamboanga City strengthens its Prevent-Detect-Isolate-Treat-Reintegrate (PDITR) strategy to fight against Covid-19 and its new and more virulent Delta variant.
