Zamboanga City Mayor Beng Climaco has signed an executive order, amending the guidelines for the implementation of general community quarantine (GCQ) in Zamboanga City.
EO 572-2020 signed Thursday, June 18, “formalizes the lifting of lockdown,” the city government said.
It also provides the adjustment of curfew time from 11:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m. and allowing religious activities but limited to not more than 10 persons in places of worship.
The new EO takes effect Sunday, June 21.
The Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases Resolution No. 46-A issued on June 15 has placed Zamboanga City under GCQ until end of the month.
Zamboanga City and Davao City are the only areas in Mindanao, which are still under GCQ due to high number of Covid-19 cases. Other places in Mindanao have been under a more relaxed quarantine classification – the modified GCQ.
