Mayor Beng Climaco ignites protocols against COVID-19


Mayor Beng Climaco has issued a new Executive Order which aims to realign existing COVID-19 protocols with the updated national guidelines “to preempt and prevent the entry of the new variant of the SARS-CoV-2 in the city.

The newly implemented guideline covers new curfew hours; protocols for social activities; gatherings and other events and protocols in public transportation in addition to its implementation and sanctions and procedures.

Allowing 1 driver and up to 2 passengers, within the same household, in traditional tricycles as well as the mandatory wearing of face mask and face shield by all passengers in public utility vehicles are two of the salient features of the new EO.

Drivers must wear face mask at all times while driving.
