Lanao del Norte LGU successfully maintains peace and order – Gov Dimaporo

Lanao del Norte Governor Imelda “Angging” Dimaporo has hailed the efforts of the four provincial councils in sustaining peace and order in the province.

The governor led the joint virtual meetings of the Provincial Development Council (PDC), Provincial Peace and Order Council (PPOC), Provincial Anti-Illegal Drug Abuse Council (PADAC), and Provincial Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (PTF-ELCAC) Tuesday, November 23.

“After years of considerable hardships and tremendous effort, we can say that we have successfully maintained the peace and order of our province and performed our respective duties,” Dimaporo said.

“However, there are some tasks that we have committed ourselves addressing that will take more time to complete,” she added.

Police Lt. Col. Rodolfo Dongiapon, operation officer of the Philippine National Police (PNP)-Lanao del Norte, in his report during the meeting, said that crime incidents in the province remained very low, which can be manifested in the campaign against illegal drugs.

Davidson Aranton of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) also presented the increasing number of drug-free barangays in the province. As of October 25, out of 461 barangays, 77.02 percent were declared cleared.
