Kidapawan Task Force Covid-19 may allow tricycles to ferry 4 passengers at a time

The Kidapawan City Task Force Covid-19 is considering to allow four passengers inside a tricycle even if the community quarantine is still being enforced in the city amid the coronavirus disease (Covid-19) pandemic.

This was after the complaints of the tricycle drivers and operators of their reduced earnings since currently only two passengers are allowed to ensure physical distancing, the city government said.

Under the proposal of the Federation of Kidapawan Integrated Tricycle Association (FKITA), it said that plastic cover will be placed inside the tricycle to serve as protection for each of the four passengers – two in front and two at the back of the vehicle.

The city government said it will consult the Cotabato Provincial Government Task Force Covid-19 regarding the FKITA proposal.

“Aalamin din ng TF Covid19 Kidapawan kung pasok ba ito sa mga itinatakda ng Department of Transportation alinsunod sa mga protocol kontra Covid-19 ng Integrated Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases o IATF-EID,” it added.
