The city government of Kidapawan and the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) have reminded the public not to buy substandard Christmas lights to prevent fire incidents this coming Christmas season.
Mayor Joseph Evangelista warned those stores in the city which are selling substandard Christmas lights and other electrical devices.
The authorities also reminded the public that the Christmas lights should bear the real “Product Standard or PS” mark sticker that the DTI issued for local products and “Import Commodity Clearance or ICC” mark for imported products. #
