The city government of Kidapawan is set to conduct general disinfection activities in public places Friday, March 13, to prevent the spread of coronavirus disease.
The City Health Office (CHO) and the Economic Enterprise and Management Office (EEMO) will spearhead the activities at Overland Terminal Compound, Mega Market Compound, and City Hall premises.
“The disinfection activities will involve spraying and misting of disinfectants to areas regularly accessed by the general public,” the city government said.
It urged the public to bear with any inconvenience and give way for the disinfection activities.
“This is to further complement regular disinfection activities (surface wipes) conducted daily by our utility personnel in the aforesaid premises,” it said.
The city government also urged the private sector, respective heads of places of worship, and government line agencies to ensure that their premises are regularly disinfected to protect the general public from possible exposure to COVID-19.
It also asked the general public to cooperate with the efforts of the public health authorities.
