Kidapawan City reminds residents religious activities involving mass gathering banned under GCQ

The Kidapawan City government has reminded the public that the conduct of religious activities involving mass gathering are still prohibited during the general community quarantine (GCQ).

This is in accordance with the guidelines of the national Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Infectious Diseases (IATF) and recent issuance from the provincial government of Cotabato, the local government said.

It also cited the prohibition against mass gatherings under Executive Order No. 38, series of 2020.

“The city government has not given its permission or authorization to any religious organization, sect or denomination to commence the celebration/observance of religious activities that would involve the gathering of persons, regardless of crowd size,” it said.

Through the resolution of IATF, Kidapawan, along with most parts of the country, has been placed under GCQ since May 1.
