Isabela City in Basilan province hosted Wednesday the 162nd Regional Development Council IX.
According to the local government, over 120 delegates from 47 local government units, executive departments, regional offices, agencies, organizations and private sector firms attended the regional gathering held at the Basilan State College Amphitheater, Sumagdang.
Mayor Al-Qaid Akbar led the city in welcoming the participants who discussed the region’s development agenda and priority infrastructure projects.
He thanked the delegates for attending the meeting, which Isabela City last hosted three years ago.
During the event, the participants also toured Mindanao’s first state-of-the-art Sewerage Wastewater Treatment Plant located in Tabiawan, Isabela city and operated by the local Isabela City Water District.
