A week-long youth celebration is set to kick off Tuesday, August 13, in General Santos City.
Hundreds of youth are expected to attend the opening of the International Youth Day and the scheduled activities, according to Elmer Cequina, head of the city’s Youth Affairs Development Office (YADO).
The participants include out-of-school youth, children in conflict with law (CICL), persons with disabilities (PWD), students, and young professionals from the city’s 26 barangays.
This year’s celebration will end on August 17 in accordance with the new mandate.
Cequina said among the activities include Parada ng Kabataan, poster making contest, extreme games and amazing race, folk dance contest, and photo contest.
