Compostela Valley Gov. Tyron Uy and some other local chief executives in Davao Region seemed to have a good time in the state banquet, which President Rodrigo Duterte hosted for visiting Chinese President Xi Jinping in Malacanang Tuesday night, November 20.
In his Facebook page, Uy posted photos inside the Palace.
“Got invited to the state banquet for Chinese President Xi Jinping today in Malacanang Palace, Manila,” he said.
He was joined by other founding members of the Hugpong ng Pagbabago (HNP), such as Davao Occidental Gov. Claude Bautista, Davao Oriental Gov. Nelson Dayanghirang, Davao del Norte Gov. Anthony del Rosario, and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio.
The presidential daughter is the head of HNP.
“With our strengthened ties with China, we look forward for more partnerships with them especially in the field of business, tourism, and investments,” Uy said.
“Here’s for more years of friendship with People’s Republic of China. Mabuhay!” he added.
