Misamis Oriental Governor Yevgeny Emano is expecting better service from Capitol officials and employees.
This, after provincial government workers “graduated” from their extensive Event Management Learning Sessions last Friday, June 30.
The training lasted for six months and was overseen by renowned events management consultant April Piasan. The graduation itself took place at the four-star Limketkai Luxe Hotel.
As a “return of investment,” Emano wants his department heads and their assistants to upgrade their service to the people of the province.
“This has been an initiative by the Governor who thinks that there is truly a need to improve and update the knowledge and skills of his staff in the Capitol. This is so that the efforts and skills of these staff will greatly improve and their flow fluidly,” Provincial Information Officer Nicole Managbanag said in SunStar Online report Wednesday, July 5.
The learning program is Emano’s vehicle to train capitol employees not only in organizing the events but also to develop their knowledge in government processes particularly in acquiring financial aid from the national government agencies.
During each month of program, the Capitol’s departments organized events in accordance to their service. They were then critiqued by Piasan.
Some important points that were tackled in the training were time management, check listing, and hosting. #
