Here’s possible good news for commuters in Davao City: the GrabCar app-based ride-hailing service may be coming soon.
Grab Philippines said it is still conducting a survey to see if it is practical to conduct the service in President Rodrigo Duterte’s hometown.
Spokesman Leo Gonzalez said said the study seeks to determine if there is a strong demand for the service.
The company’s GrabTaxi service started in Davao City in 2014.
Grab Davao manager Jose Thor Villareiz said some 1,300 taxi drivers in Davao City are using the GrabTaxi app, down from 2,600 when the service started in 2014.
