Gov. Uy believes ‘better days are coming’

Davao de Oro Governor Tyron Uy has expressed belief that “better days are coming” amid the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic.

In his Easter message, Uy said that the life of Jesus, his death and resurrection means more today than any day in history.

“We are reminded that all this pain is only momentary and better days are coming. Suffering will be gone,” he said.

“Wala’y gihatag ang Ginoo nga dili nato kaya. In times of happiness or sadness, in delight or sorrow, in hope or despair, in certainty or doubt, and in peace or discord, He is with us. God is with us. He is always with us,” the local chief executive said.

The Davao Region, including Davao de Oro, has been placed under enhanced community quarantine to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

As of April 10, there were two confirmed COVID-19 cases in the province, including one who already recovered.
