Gov Tamayo suspends work in gov’t offices in South Cotabato on Oct. 29

South Cotabato Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo Jr. has issued a memorandum enjoining all government offices in the province to suspend work Thursday, October 29.

This is to commemorate the Maulidun Nabi or the birthday of Prophet Muhammad, a Muslim legal holiday.

“All government offices in South Cotabato being the Regional Center of Region XII, are hereby enjoined to suspend work on October 29, 2020 to give ample time to all employees who would like to celebrate this special day,” Tamayo said in a memorandum issued Wednesday, October 28.

But he said the offices involved in the delivery of basic and health services, security and response to calamities and disasters shall continue with their operation and render necessary services.
