South Cotabato Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo has inspected various checkpoints in the province to ensure that the “provincial border lockdown” is strictly implemented.
The border lockdown started on September 1 and will be enforced until September 15.
“Layunin nito na mas mapalakas pa ang pagbabantay sa mga papasok at lalabas ng probinsiya,” Tamayo said.
Those manning the checkpoints make sure that those who enter the province have the SC-CCTS card for contact tracing and wear face mask and face shield.
The governor issued Executive Order No. 52 for the imposition of the border lockdown in a bid to curb the growing number of coronavirus disease cases and to stop the spread of the virus in South Cotabato.
