The Basilenos have expressed optimism about the future of the province with the reelection of Governor Jim Salliman for another three-year term.

The local government congratulated Salliman for his victory in the May 9 elections.

“Kayo pa rin ang Governor namin. Garantisado ang pag-unlad at kapayapaan sa Basilan. Benepisyo ng empleyado ay tuloy-tuloy na maeenjoy. Lahat ng sektor pasok at uusbong para sa patuloy na pag-babago ng Basilan,” it said.

The Basilenos said that a better future awaits them as Salliman continues to be their leader.
