Gov. Mendoza takes oath as Cotabato’s vice governor-elect

Outgoing Cotabato Governor Emmylou “Lala” J. Talino-Mendoza has taken her oath as the incoming vice governor of the province.

She took her oath before a judge of a Kidapawan City regional trial court in a ceremony at the Provincial Governor’s Office Tuesday, May 21.

Mendoza vowed to “dutifully” perform her duties as vice governor of the province.

During the May 13 elections, she ran for vice governor, while her father, Rogelio Talino, for governor.

The older Talino, however, lost to Nancy Catamco, the ruling PDP-Laban’s filled candidate for governorship.

All the newly elected national and local officials will assume posts on June 30.
