The two ladies of North Cotabato kicked off their annual gift giving activity for the kids in the province.
North Cotabato Governor Lala Mendoza and Vice Governor Shirlyn Villanueva recently teamed up for the much awaited Christmas gift giving activity in the province. The program Pasko alay sa Batang Kotabateños, initiated by Gov. Lala, was officially kick started by VG Shirlyn at the municipality of Pikit where indigenous peoples, Moro and Christian children took part.
“We hope to forge unity and promote oneness and peace by allowing the children to realize that we may have different religions but we actually worship one God. I speak blessings!”, VG Shirlyn wrote on her Facebook page.
She further added that for public servants, there’s nothing like seeing joy in the kids’ eyes and spreading the spirit of generosity and peace.
