Lanao del Norte Governor Imelda “Angging” Quibranza-Dimaporo has lauded the groundbreaking ceremony of the P7.352-billion Panguil Bay Bridge.

President Rodrigo Duterte led the ceremony Wednesday, November 28, held in the access/approach road in Sagadan, Municipality of Tubod.

This project is in fulfillment of the dream of the late Governor Arsenio A. Quibranza for the people of Lanao del Norte, she said.

The 3.772 kilometers Panguil Bay Bridge-including the approach- will link the Tubod, and Tangub City / Ozamis City, Misamis Occidental, reducing land travel time from 2 to 2.5 hours to 7 minutes, and it will facilitate 24/7 mobility of people, goods, and services that will help propel the economic growth of both provinces and surrounding areas.

The Korean Export Import Bank and the Philippine government will fund the project to be implemented beginning December 2018 to November 2021.
