Gov. Adiong orders temporary closure of provincial capitol for disinfection

The Lanao del Sur and Marawi City Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases headed by Governor Mamintal A. Adiong Jr. announced Sunday, August 9, the temporary suspension of government work inside the Provincial Capitol Complex (PCC).

The local IATF said the “thorough disinfection” will be conducted at the entire PCC on August 10-13.

“This precautionary measure will be undertaken in view of the declaration of local transmission of Covid-19 in Lanao del Sur and Marawi City,” it said.

Employees of the Provincial Capitol are required to work-from-home during the four-day suspension.

The task force reiterated its call to the residents to exercise prudence and to comply with the minimum health standards as prescribed under Sangguniang Panlalawigan Ordinance No. 05, Series of 2020, which also imposes penalties for violators.
