The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) has turned over to the local government of General Santos City equipment for the Negosyo Center.
The pieces of equipment, which were handed over Monday, June 24, during the flag raising ceremony at the Oval Court, will be used for the Negosyo Center located at the ground floor of Investment Action Center to be launched soon, the city government said.
The project will be co-managed by the DTI and the City Economic Management and Cooperative Development Office (CEMCDO).
The Negosyo Center Program is responsible for promoting ease of doing business and facilitating access to services for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
Negosyo Centers are found in strategic areas convenient for the existing and would-be entrepreneurs, such as DTI offices, local government units (LGU), academe, Non-Government Organizations (NGOs), and malls.
