GenSan LGU to turnover 10-hectare land for Muslim public cemetery – Mayor Rivera


The General Santos City government has acquired a 10-hectare land to be used as Muslim Public Cemetery, Mayor Ronnel C. Rivera said.

The local chief executive met and discussed with the Muslim leaders and landowners regarding the planned turnover of the land acquired by the city government for the cemetery.

The meeting was attended by the family of the late Datu Esmael Atong and witnessed by Muslim Religious Advisory Council, National Commission on Muslim Filipinos, and some Muslim leaders in the city.

It was facilitated by Jocelyn Lambac-Kanda, Head of City Mayor’s Office-Integrated Cultural Communities Affairs Division in coordination with the City Housing Department headed by Mary Ann Tan.
