The city government of General Santos has forged sisterhood agreements with the local governments of Angeles, Mabalacat and San Fernando, all in Pampanga province, to expand trade linkages.
Mayor Ronnel Rivera representing the city government also signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Economic Cooperation with the Clark Development Corporation (CDC), represented by its president, Noel Manankil.
The signing ceremonies were held in GenSan as it celebrated the last day of its annual and week-long Tuna Festival on September 5.
“We are excited to commence these new partnerships with the public and private sectors of Pampanga. These will truly empower and benefit our constituents which will support new developments and sustainable growth in our city,” Rivera said.
