South Cotabato Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo assured Monday, September 28, that food assistance will be extended to some areas in Koronadal City after they have been placed under lockdown due to coronavirus cases.
The governor said that the estimated 7,000 families will receive food packs for one week.
“Ang reason kun ngaa naghatag kita sang food packs, kung ang isa ka area indi sila ka hulag, wala sang economic activities, wala sila pangbakal pagkaon, wala man sila may mabaklan, so obligasyon sang government nga tagaan sila sang pagkaon,” he said.
Koronadal City Mayor Eliordo U. Ogena has placed under the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) lockdown the entire Sta. Cruz barangay and Purok Malipayon and Purok River West in Barangay Sto. Niño from September 27 until October 4.
