Twelve families have been displaced when a fire broke out in Zamboanga City, Mayor Beng Climaco said.
The fire hit Sitio Kapuk in Barangay Calarian before 2 p.m. Thursday, October 29, gutting five houses where the 12 families were living.
Climaco said relief assistance, including five kilos of rice, was given to each displaced family.
“The CSWDO (City Social Welfare Development Office) is assessing and validating the displaced for other forms of assistance. The affected families are temporarily housed at the Flamingo covered court,” she said.
