President Rodrigo Duterte will be spending his Holy Week in Davao City, his spokesman said Thursday.
After the Holy Week, Duterte will embark on foreign trips, said Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque.
“He will be in Davao. Nasa Davao lang po ang ating Presidente sa pagdating ng Semana Santa at magkakaroon po siya ng mga trips matapos po ng Semana Santa,” he said in a press briefing.
The country, with a population mostly Catholics, will observe Holy Week next week.
Duterte is expected to attend the Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conference to be held in Hainan, China on April 8-11.
This will be his third trip to China, which he considered as close friend of the Philippines, since he assumed office in June 2016.
Duterte is also set to attend the 32nd Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Summit in Singapore on April 25-28. #
