Duterte declares June 17 as special non-working day in Molave, Zamboanga del Sur

President Rodrigo Duterte has declared Monday, June 17, as a special non-working day in the Municipality of Molave in Zamboanga del Sur.

Molave will celebrate its 71st founding anniversary on June 16.

However, Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea, who signed Proclamation No. 727 by authority of the President on May 14, said the Office of the Mayor of Molave asked that the holiday be moved to June 17.

“To enable the people of the Municipality of Molave to celebrate the occasion, the Office of the Mayor requested Monday, 17 June 2019, be declared a special (non-working) day in lieu of 16 June 2019, which falls on a Sunday,” Medialdea said.

He said it is but fitting and proper that the Molave residents be given full opportunity to celebrate and participate in the occasion with appropriate ceremonies.
