DPWH declares some Tawi-Tawi roads as national

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has officially declared some of the streets in Tawi-Tawi province as national roads.

DPWH Secretary Roger G. Mercado signed recently Department Order No. 108 series of 2022 “officially and legally” declaring various road sections in the province as national roads, the provincial government said.

District Engineer Borris Kadil, representing Governor Yshmael “Mang” I. Sali, received, during a recent courtesy call on Mercado, the order listing several provincial roads now categorized as national sections.

The DPWH’s decision came following a resolution of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan calling for the conversion of identified provincial roads to national sections per the vision of Sali in line with the development agenda of the local government.
