DOLE gives P3.7M for livelihood of Kidapawan City residents

The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) 12 has extended P3.7 million for livelihood of 224 beneficiaries in Kidapawan City.

Kidapawan City DOLE Head Marjorie Latoja personally handed over the check to Mayor Joseph Evangelista on November 27, the city government said.

The fund came from DOLE Integrated Livelihood and Emergency Employment Program (DILEEP) and would be used to buy starter kits for welding, carpentry, food processing, and street food vending, among others.

“Ilan lamang sa makikinabang ay mga mahihirap na mamamayan, mga walang trabaho, senior citizens at ilang mga miyembro ng Balik Pangarap Drug Rehab Program,” the local government said.

The Public Employment Services Office and DOLE are set to distribute the starter kits to the beneficiaries by first quarter of next year, it added.
