The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) said Tuesday, December 17, that death toll from the powerful earthquake that rocked parts of Mindanao recently has risen to seven.
The fatalities came from the provinces of Davao del Sur and Davao Occidental.
There were also 49 people who were injured due to the magnitude 6.9 earthquake that hit Sunday, December 15, with epicenter in Davao del Sur.
Nearly 2,000 families or 9,565 persons have remained in 13 evacuation centers.
NDRRMC also said that 39 public structures were either totally or partially damaged in Regions XI and XII.
