The Davao City government is set to start the vaccination of 120,000 senior citizens against coronavirus disease as it is now wrapping up the inoculation of medical and other healthcare frontline workers, an official said.
“We are now vaccinating the last batches of Priority Group A1 or our healthcare and other frontline workers,” said Dr. Ashley Lopez, Focal Person of the City’s Covid-19 Task Force.
On Tuesday, the city government will give the second dose of Coronavac’s Sinovac vaccines to Davao City healthcare workers at Magallanes Elementary School.
Lopez said that the city government is also finalizing the guidelines for the vaccination of the senior citizens given their delicate condition.
Dr. Josephine Villafuerte, the Head of the City’s Vaccination Cluster, said that the seniors’ inoculation will be done by district, unlike Group A that has designated vaccination hubs.
