Davao City provides free rides for SPMC dialysis patients

The Davao City government has been giving free rides to dialysis patients for their regular checkup at the Southern Philippines Medical Center (SPMC) amid the coronavirus disease (Covid-19) pandemic.

The City Transport and Traffic Management Office (CTTMO) started giving free rides to these patients since April 13 due to lack of public transportation following the implementation of the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) in the city, the local government said.

“CTTMO personnel fetch more than 30 patients from their homes 2 hours before their scheduled checkup, from Monday to Saturday,” it said.

As of Friday, May 22, the CTTMO caters a total of 109 patients all over Davao City, the city government added.
