The Davao City government has rolled out the free anti-Covid vaccination for members of the Moro communities.
Covid-19 Task Force Spokesperson Dr. Michelle Schlosser said the anti-Covid jabs for the Moro communities took time to take off as it went through careful planning to address the concerns of Muslim women.
The vaccination, which started Wednesday, September 8, at the Mini-forest in Barangay 23-C, was also made sure it is following Muslim practices. The members of the vaccination team are also Muslim.
The preparations for the site of vaccination for the Moro communities started last month.
Aside from Barangay 23-C, four other sites were identified for the vaccination of the Moro communities. On September 15, the vaccination team will be in Barangay Waan Gym.
The vaccination for the Moro communities is part of the Davao City’s city-wide anti-Covid jabs to achieve the 1.2 million inoculation of Dabawenyos by November.
