The Philippine-Australia Friendship Week kicked off Monday in Davao City.
City Tourism Operations Office Chief Generose Tecson said the Australian Embassy’s action of holding the Philippines-Australia Friendship Day in Davao is a vote of confidence in the city.
Internationally renowned aboriginal art advocate Jeremy Donovan graced the event by playing the didgeridoo, a wind instrument developed by Australia’s aboriginal people.
The Philippines-Australia Friendship Day is celebrated every May 22 under Presidential Proclamation 1282. This was aimed at emphasizing the strong and enduring friendship between the two countries.
