Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio said the local government is developing a new electronic system for contact tracing for those who have close contact and exposure to individuals who are infected with coronavirus disease.
But in the meantime, the local chief executive said the city government distributed to District Health Offices the contact list form and history form where the Covid-19 patients must write down their close contacts and travel history.
The forms must then be returned at the District Health Office within 24 hours to make sure that there is no delay in advising close contacts to undergo quarantine.
“We will not wait for the results within 24 hours, we will just tell the people to do quarantine. We also want to advise the close contacts of those close contacts of the swabbed person to undergo quarantine,” Duterte-Carpio said.
