The Davao City government advised Saturday, May 16, the residents to avoid unnecessary travels to barangays classified as moderate to very high risk due to cases of coronavirus disease (Covid-19).
“Please avoid unnecessary travels to barangays marked as Very High Risk, High Risk, and Moderate Risk, including public markets (palengke), supermarkets, and all other establishments under these areas,” the local government said.
Whenever possible, it also strongly urged the public to avoid going to the malls, banks, hospitals, churches, and all other areas where people meet, congregate, or gather because “of the higher chance of getting/contracting the virus.”
As of May 14, the “very high risk” barangays were 13-B, 21-C, 23-C, Buhangin Proper, and Leon Garcia. The “high risk” barangays were 5-A, 19-B, Agdao Proper, Catalunan Grande, Matina Crossing, Panacan, Talomo Proper, and Tigatto.
The “high risk barangays due to neighboring very high risk barangays” were 12-B, 14-B, 16-B, 17-B, 18-B, 22-C,
24-C, 25-C, 26-C, 27-C, 28-C, 30-C, 31-D, 33-D, Gov. Duterte, Monteverde Sr, and Wilfredo Aquino.
The “moderate risk” barangays were 10-A, Bago Gallera, Cabantian, Daliao, Gov. Bangoy, Indangan, Maa, Matina, Aplaya, and Sto. NinŞo.
Classified as “moderate high risk barangays due to neighboring high risk barangays” were 2-A, 6-A, 8-A, 11-B, 15-B, 20-B, Bago Aplaya, Bucana, Catalunan PequenŞo, Communal, Ilang, Langub, Mandug, Matina Pangi, Mudiang, Sasa, and Tacunan.
All other barangays not mentioned were considered as low risk.
