The Bureau of Customs (BOC) Port of Davao has donated more personal protective equipment (PPE) to Southern Philippines Medical Center (SPMC).
The four boxes of PPE, which were given to SPMC on March 31, were on top of the eight container vans of various medical equipment that the Customs Davao initially donated to the same hospital, said Customs Davao District Collector Atty. Erastus Sandino Austria.
He said the sets of PPE will be used by the SPMC health workers as they perform their daily duties in preventing the spread of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in the region.
“The Bureau has always been responsive to public service. Today, we give our full commitment in providing the needed help and assistance to our medical frontliners, volunteers and the City Government of Davao,” Austria said.
SPMC Medical Chief Leopoldo Vega thanked the BOC for its donations.
