Councilor Bermudez leads giving out of free face shields to Tagum City drivers

Tagum City Councilor Macario Bermudez has led the distribution of some 300 face shields to tricycle, multicab and jeepney drivers.

City Cooperative Development Office (CCDO) head Antonio Alastra assisted Bermudez in giving the free face shields to the drivers Tuesday, August 18, at the Rizal Park in downtown Tagum.

The face shields were donations from different cooperatives in Tagum as initiated by the CCDO of the City Mayor’s Office and the City Cooperative Development Council.

“This social service program to help avert the spread of the Covid-19 specifically to drivers who are vulnerable to the virus because of the nature of their work,” the local government said.
