The Zamboanga City government reported Sunday, May 3, that the number of confirmed cases of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) has risen to 60.
Of the total number of cases, three died and four patients recovered.
Some 58 confirmed COVID-19 patients are in Zamboanga City while two are in Metro Manila.
Meanwhile, there are 487 suspect COVID-19 cases, 282 of which are with negative results and 115 with pending results. Suspect COVID-related deaths are now 73.
Zamboanga City has been requesting the national Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases to remain under the enhanced community quarantine.
President Rodrigo Duterte has yet to act on the request.
