Bong Go elated by Mayor Sara’s endorsement
Special Assistant to the President Christopher “Bong” Go has given another hint that he could really run for a Senate post in the 2019 elections when he thanked Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio for her endorsement.
Go said in a statement.
“Kahit saan man ako dalhin ng aking kapalaran, sasamahan ko si Pangulong Duterte hanggang kamatayan,” he added.
Duterte-Carpio has hailed Go for working for her father, President Rodrigo Duterte, since he was still the mayor of Davao City.
Since Go has been with Duterte since the 1990’s, she said that her father’s aide has huge experience in government.
“I am humbled by the endorsement of our beloved city mayor Inday Sara. The Dutertes, the Father, the Daughter, are my inspiration and the example of being a true public servant,” Go said.
Go said it was Duterte who gave him the courage to continue to serve the country.
Go used to directly answer questions that he would not run for the Senate whenever he was asked.
But lately, Go himself has been sending Facebook posts apparently praising him by some netizens on the media Viber group and other publicity stunts which could possibly boost his chances in the senatorial race next year.
