The Bureau of Customs – Port of Davao expedited the release of over 700 boxes of PPE supplies that will be distributed to various medical hospitals and facilities in Mindanao last April 3.
The donation is expected to benefit medical frontliners fighting COVID-19.
Led by Customs Davao District Collector, Erastus Sandino B. Austria, the shipments were inspected, assessed and cleared prior to release for distribution.
“Customs Davao assures the public that all medical supplies and donations arriving in Davao are expeditiously released following proper protocols and inspections. We make sure that there are no unnecessary delays on the release of these commodities and immediately distributed to our health workers,” Austria said.
This is the first of two batches of PPE supply donations arriving in Davao. The second batch is expected to arrive April 4.
