BARMM-OWWA seeks to help ex-OFWs promote their products

The Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao-Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (BARMM-OWWA) has spearheaded a conference that aims to assist former overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) to promote their products.

A stakeholders conference on reintegration, which was participated by some 21 OFW organizations from Maguindanao, was held on November 28-29 in Cotabato City.

The participants gathered to showcase their different products such as inaul, rattan products, homemade vinegar, bagoong, etc.

The activity intended to strengthen OFW organizations not only in the province of Maguindanao but also throughout BARMM, said Uga Sulaiman, OWWA regional director.

The official said the activity will help participants to promote their products especially in terms of marketing and production.

“We will try to promote these products kasi alam natin na marami silang mga produkto pero hindi masyado nabibigyan ng pansin,” Sulaiman said.

“We are hopeful that we will achieve our goals, so that in the nearest future they can manage and run their organization even without our guidance,” he added.
