BARMM cites Pimentel’s contributions in Bangsamoro peace process


The Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) extended Tuesday, October 22, its condolences to the bereaved family of Senator Aquilino “Nene” Pimentel Jr.

“We join the country in honoring his life and legacy dedicated in service of the Filipino people,” the regional government said.

BARMM expressed its gratefulness for Pimentel’s contributions during the long history of the Bangsamoro peace process. These include the creation of the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao, his support for the passage of the Bangsamoro Organic Law and his efforts to push for federalism.

“The Interim Chief Minister Hon. Ahod Ibrahim, Al Hajj is grateful for the countless contributions of the late Senator. His vision for a peaceful Mindanao and a better life for all Filipinos will undoubtedly live forever,” BARMM said.
