Some 11 youth teams in Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) have taken entrepreneurship seminar.
Spearheaded by the Office of the Bangsamoro Youth Affairs (OBYA), in partnership with the Catholic Relief Services (CRS), it conducted the Youth Drive Business Start-up Challenge (Youth Driving Innovation Social Enterprises for Community Transformation) Wednesday, October 9, inside Bangsamoro Government Center in Cotabato City.
The participants from the 11 youth teams specifically came from various municipalities in Maguindanao, the regional government said.
“Gone are the days where the youth are trapped in conflict or deprived access to education — because that with the grace of Almighty Allah, the Bangsamoro Government is committed to prioritize the welfare of the youth and provide them opportunities,” said Bangsamoro Chief Minister Al Haj Murad Ebrahim, who was represented by Ustadh Salim Lingasa from the Office of the Chief Minister during the event.
Dr. Marjanie S. Mimbantas, OBYA executive director, said the program was designed to unleash the skills and talents of the Bangsamoro youth in the field of entrepreneurship.
“We want you to reach the peak of your creativity, dedication, tactics and all means to widen that horizon for you to succeed in the field of business enterprise,” he said.
